Launching of Wilayahku Newsportal
Ever since the new federal government was formed; it does seem like the Pakatan Harapan government needed to strengthen and improvise the outreach of their communication platforms to provide the Rakyat with genuine information.
In view that there has been too much purported news which contains misleading, half-baked, information being circulated carelessly over the internet, Khalid has taken another great initiative to fight this problem by introducing a news portal known as Wilayahku, being free of charge and accessible by all readers.
Khalid, who is also the Amanah Communications Director said, the launch of the said news portal is to combat the excessive attacks by cybertroopers, by sharing the true and clear picture of any issues being played by certain quarters.
Clearly, all the cybertroopers do, is creating negative perceptions towards the Pakatan Harapan administration from day 1.
For the record, Wilayahku Portal is the digital extension of the weekly Wilayahku newspaper, which has published its 32nd edition todate.
With over 50,000 print count and considerably amounts up to more than any dailies in Kuala Lumpur, it is distributed in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya by Wilayah Media Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan.
The Wilayahku newspaper has received overwhelming response and demands by residents outside Kuala Lumpur as well, which inspired the Wilayahku team to come up with online news portal for better outreach by all online users.
